Voted and I also like our current setup. Why change such a great system ? It gives everyone that doesn't make the playoff a fair chance at the top 3 pick. This way less gm will try to tank. Why tank when you have 18 % chance of holding on your 1st overall. You have less then 40 % to stay in the top 3 when you finish dead last.

You understand that this was created because you disliked the current system because Philly won the 2nd pick in real life and it didn't translate because we only have 10 teams ..right?

There was a easier way to go about it then to try and change it. I never once mention imdislike the way we do the lottery. Imsimply said that the 1st overall should have drop down a spot.

You were upset with it, it was discussed league wide. It was split down the middle, so now we have a vote for it.

I just wanted you to listen to me instead of just having the only and final word. It doesn't mean we should change the system but instead we should modify it. Here's what I would do:
have every none playoff team get a ball - 8 balls then on top of that we give a extra ball for the 24,23,22,21,20,19,18 - to represent every nhl team that doesn't make the nhl.
that mean the following
24th would have gotten Colorado and Florida balls - 18% +5.4 % to pick 1st - 48.1 % + 17.1% to pick in the top 3 23rd. would have gotten Vancouver and L.A. 12.1 % + 4.5 % and 35.2 % + 14.4 to pick in the top 3 22nd. would have gotten Vegas and Carolina balls - 10.3 % + 3.2 % to pick 1st overall and 30.7% + 10.3 % to pick in the top 3 21st. would have gotten Arizona and Jets balls - 10.3 % + 2.7 % to pick 1st overall and 30.7 % + 8.8 % to pick in the top 3 20th. would have gotten NJ + Flyers balls - 8.5 % + 2.2 % to pick 1st overall and 25.9 % + 7.2 to pick in the top 3 19th overall would have gotten Buffalo + TBL balls - 7.6 +1.8 % to pick 1st overall and 23.4 + 6 % to pick in he top 3 18th overall would have gotten Detroit + Islander balls - 6.7 % + 0.9 % to pick 1st overall and 20.9 % + 3% to pick in the top 3 17th overall would have gotten Dallas - 5.8 overall to pick 1st overall and 18.3 % to pick in the top 3 - the only team to get 1 ball
I understand this year NJ and Flyers which was the same team would have won the 1st and 2nd overall meaning that dallas would then become 2nd overall and the 24th overall to land at 3rd overall.
What ya think of this concept ?

I'll be honest, I don't like it. Because playoff teams should not have a chance at the lottery. I am also not sure why you have a 24th and 23rd option. Other than those two options, it sounds like a weighted selection.

24- 1st overall 23rd- 2nd overall and so on
Now do you get it ? So no playoff team get a ball. If we had this option I would have selected.

Well we only have 22 teams, so that is a large issue. Also you listed only 8 teams so what about the other two teams who miss the playoffs?
